When heaven burn is a drama filmed in 2009 and is currently broadcasting on TVB Jade. The story started
with a band formed by four young men, Song yi lung, lau chun hung, Cheng zhen hin and Hui ka ming. Together with Hui ka ming's girlfriend, Yip chi yan, they spent 11 months with each other happily. Before disbanding, the four young men went to Tian shan mountain. Yip chi yan would have been there with them, but due to a small quarrel with ka ming, the 5 people trip turned out to be a 4 people trip. During the trip, the four of them were trapped in the mountain due to a snow storm. They were starving and had nothing to eat. Sung yi lung, lau chun hung and Cheng zhen hin decided to kill the badly injured ka ming. They ate him after killing him. They decided to hide the truth from the others when they were saved. Yip Chi yan blame them for not bringing ka ming back. This drama is basically on how the three of them struggle in the society with the guilty heart and how that incident change them. The drama also show Yip chi yan struggling through the pain of losing her boyfriend, rebuilding their friendship and got to know the truth.
Personal views: This is a very special drama compared to other TVB drama. Instead of using palace scheming asset fighting as their theme, 'WHB' uses cannibalism as their theme.It also shows how scary the dark side of human is and how the main leads change after the incident. The actor and actress also portray their characters well. While watching the drama, I can feel the pain in each of them when it was sad scene. Charmaine sheh who is portraying Yip chi yan did a very good job. She had shown significant improvement in her performance. Moses chan also did a job in portraying Sung yi lung. Besides meaningful storyline, capable actor and actresses, the producer uses a special method of filming. There were many times when there were 'cross-dimension'scene, I haven't seen such a filming method before, hence it is very new and special to me. Some claimed that they don't understand because of the use of this filming. My advice to them is to look watch the drama slowly and read up on the drama on tvb.com. This is interesting drama so I would like to recommend it to everyone.
